Nursery Preparations

I had the opportunity to do some lovely projects last week for a family who is preparing to welcome their first daughter—into a house filled with three big brothers!  Mom wanted an all white nursery, to only shock of color being this bright pink damask crib bumper.  She wanted it monogrammed, but unfortunately I can’t monogram something that thick.  So we worked on another idea, and I made this applique—almost like a patch or scout badge—that she can handsew onto the bumper.

She also brought me this burlap ottoman cover that she made—I love combining something hard and rustic with  the softness of the white ruffles and the fancy monogram.
